The Rogue Regent

Once upon a time there was a heart mummy who had too much time on her hands. She was waiting so long for her Rogue Regent that sometimes she got bored… So do you know what she did?

She went Shopping!!

In fact every time she thought of the Rogue Regent she would go and buy something else for the Rogue Regents bedchamber. (A bedchamber is where a prince or princess sleeps.)

You see this heart Mama was a Queen. She was called the Rogue Queen and she was married to the King, he was called King Gold Crown because when he yawned you could see gold in his mouth.

Anyway the King and Queen had been married for a very long time when they decided it was time for another person to come and live at the Castle with them and Mr Darcy. (Mr Darcy was only a cat but he thought he was a prince.)

This person had to be someone special, not just any old somebody but someone really special. So the King and Queen sent their best messengers out to scour the world for a special person who would be the Prince or Princess of Roguedom. These messengers were called Dokswurkas and they were sent out to search every town and city for the Rogue Regent. (The regent is what you call the son or daughter of the King and Queen).

But finding that perfect Regent takes a really long time so the King and Queen had to wait and wait.

Then when they thought that they could wait no more…

they waited some more.

Ho Hum said the Rogue Queen I am going shopping

Ho Hum said King Gold Crown I am going to work

Ho Hum  meowed Mr Darcy I am going to sleep

Many years went by and suddenly there appeared at the castle gate a tired and dirty Dokswurka. He begged the King to give him some food and water because he had travelled so far looking for the Rogue Regent. He told a tale of how he had travelled all the way to the land of Hanyu.

And who do you think he found in Hanyu?

That’s right he found the Rogue Regent.

Oh How the King and Queen jumped for joy. Even Mr Darcy raised his paws and danced about.

The Rogue Regent had been found!!

What a celebration there was to be in the castle that night.

‘Wait’ cried the weary Dokswurka. “You can not see the Rogue Regent yet. The Rogue Regent is not allowed to leave Hanyu until the Hanyu King gives his approval. This could take many months and so you must be patient.”

Well that was not the news the Rogue Royals were hoping to hear.

Oh Dear cried the Rogue Queen I am going shopping

Oh Dear cried King Gold Crown I am going to work

Oh Dear meowed Mr Darcy I am going to sleep

So with cobwebs beginning to appear in the Royal Regents bedchamber and grey hairs growing from Rogue Queens head and white hairs growing from King Gold Crowns beard and not least of all Mr Darcy’s whiskers are turning white the Rogue Royals wait and wait for the King of Hanyu to give his permission for the Royal Regent to travel across the ocean to take their place in the Castle of Rouse in the Kingdom of Rogue.

Well the time is nearly here. In the next 6-8 weeks Albert and I should be looking at a picture of our precious baby for the first time.
Can I wait that long? I really don’t know.
I will have to post the Adoption timeline so that you can all see how long it actual takes to adopt if you are not Madonna.

I still think that if this child is a boy that calling him “Albert Junior” is a good idea. After all look how well it’s served me! heh heh heh…

Well the latest rumour is that Referrals up to the 27th October 2005 should start arriving in the US any time after Saturday the 24th February. This means that Australia is not likely to hear of these referrals until Monday the 5th of March. If in fact they are correct at all.

For those of you who don’t understand the process. Our Application was lodged in China on the 26th October 2005. To date the CCAA Chinese Centre for Adoption Affairs have matched babies to couples who’s application were lodged up unto the 13th October 2005.
So yes we know we are the next cab’s off the rank we are just not certain of the timing.

    Getting excited now..

Well it will be interesting to see what news today brings across the internet.
The Chinese centre for Adoption Affairs went back to work on Sat the 24th Feb after a week of celebrating CNY.
Have they sent out referrals today?
Have they referred up to the 26th October? (Our LID, Logged in Date)
Will I get any sleep tonight?
Do I need to be slightly medicated to get through this week?
    I will keep you posted.

Well a new week will hopefully bring fresh and longed for news.
The rumours about what the CCAA are doing are being bandied about and I for one would love to have some hard info.
Supposedly the 27th of Oct 05 did not make it through to referral stage but there is no news on the 26th. Arghhh!! Patience certainly is a value..of which I obviously have little!!

Well I am not sure what the story is at the moment. Some people have received referrals when they have a logged in date (LID) the same as us (26th Oct 05) while others have receieved referrals when they have a LID of the 31/10/05 so we have somehow been skipped completely!! Arghhh

    Rachel,
I am so excited for you. You will be cuddling your baby so much soon. I am so sad we are moving now because I won’t be able to watch Lily grow. I hope I can have a cuddle one day.
